THE BARD FORT, Aosta Valley – The presentation ceremony of the Alpine Green Experience project, which will be operational within a few months, has just ended. The event, a fundamental step in the development of sustainable tourism in the Aosta Valley, was held with the participation of Andrea Celesia – CEO of the Alpine Green Experience, Gabriella Morelli, Director of the Aosta Valley Regional Tourist Office (on behalf of Laurent Viérin – Councillor for Tourism, Sport, Trade, Agriculture and Cultural Heritage of the Aosta Valley Autonomous Region and Albert Chatrian – Councillor for the Environment, Natural Resources and Forestry Corps of the Aosta Valley Autonomous Region).

The Alpine Green Experience project

The project stems from the idea of involving the guest in a virtuous journey that makes sustainability the best way to discover the enchanting territory of the Aosta Valley in its authenticity. Developed thanks to a forward-looking intuition of Andrea Celesia, owner of the Eco Wellness Hotel Notre Maison in Cogne, today the project is extended to 18 of the best accommodation facilities in the Region, which have joined forces to give birth to a cooperation allowing Italian and international guests to undertake a green journey throughout the Aosta Valley. The project plans to offer, together with hotel services, a BMW i3 electric car, which can be picked up at Caselle Airport or at Porta Susa and Porta Nuova railway stations in Turin, to reach the Valley and move around during the stay, experiencing the thrill of a completely sustainable electric driving and appreciating its silence. Thanks to this project, guests will be able to grasp the importance that local tourist operators give to the safeguard and the development of the environment, starting from their arrival in Turin.

The project partners

The Alpine Green Experience has established a partnership with the CVA Group, which, being the fourth among hydroelectric energy producers in Italy with its over 3 billion KWh of total energy produced by water, wind and sun, avoids the release into the atmosphere of 1.4 million tons of CO2. The collaboration underlines the common commitment to environmental sustainability and the fight against climate change. Both companies are born in the Aosta Valley Region with the aim of making this territory carbon-free.

The agreement provides for the availability by the CVA Group of charging stations for charging electric cars at the hotels participating in the project, as well as co-marketing initiatives, such as the branding of the twelve i3 BMW cars with the CVA Group logo, the “baptism” of cars with the name of the most significant renewable energy production plants in the Valley and the communication of green products offered by both companies.

The BMW i biAuto Agent of Turin, part of the biAuto Group, is partner of the Alpine Green Experience project since the very first stage and foresees the use of i3 BMW cars that have been selected thanks to their ability to perfectly interpret the transformation of the automotive sector to power supply. The collaboration was tested, with mutual satisfaction, during the project experimentation phase and is now mature to be extended to the evolution of this project that involves the entire Aosta Valley.

The collaboration with the Aosta Valley Region is also very important from a strategic point of view. Indeed, the Region has made available to the project operational tools, such as the vda booking, and shares the effort towards a Green Aosta Valley, an essential goal for a sustainable and lasting development of the territory.

TurismoK – tourism management & marketing. An entrepreneurial reality that operates in the tourism sector, already a leader in the Aosta Valley and successfully active in other tourist destinations. The company will support the development of communication and marketing tools of the emerging Alpine Green Experience brand, seeking to promote the service in the reference markets based on market data. A particular attention will be paid to ensuring maximum product visibility through the implementation of specific web advertising campaigns.

The Gal Valle d’Aosta is a recognized non-profit association of private law, established with the primary aim of coordinating and implementing the local development strategy. In collaboration with 7 farms and artisans, the Alpine Green Experience project is enriched by a vision that intends to highlight the authenticity of the territory by stimulating the interaction between visitors and local artisans, to come into direct contact with some of the greatest members of the artisanal and wine-and-food local culture, handed down from generation to generation.

ADAVA, the Aosta Valley Hoteliers Association, has always been a catalyst for projects and an ideas incubator. The association was also an inspiration for the Alpine Green Experience, an entrepreneurial initiative with unique characteristics in the field of innovation in the tourism sector.

The Alpine Green Experience project will become operational over the next few months to host guests from all over the world in the 18 hotel facilities that are now part of the project:
